Day 3

Today has been another good day for the little man. He didn't require the phototherapy that we had been cautioned about for his jaundice. Apparently, his level isn't as high as they thought it was so he gets to stay in his comfy isolett. We continued the attempts at breast feeding and our little man seems to be catching on quickly. In addition, starting at 11am this morning, Caden started having 10 cc of breastmilk (or formula when we don't have enough bm) every 4 hours. Prior to feeding him through his NG tube we start with a session at the breast, then progress to an NG feeding. Momma's milk is starting to come in so we should be able to stop the formula supplements very soon.
